Message of Mrs. C. Wiedey- Chief of delegation of the EC in Mauritius



	The “Programme d’Appui à la Promotion d’une Education pour la Gestion de l’Environnement” (ARPEGE) is a regional support programme for the promotion of education for the management of the environment. This project, which will last three years, is a pilot project established as part of the objectives of the cooperation between the European Union and the Indian Ocean islands. It was born of these islands’ desire to make the younger generation aware of the importance of protecting the environment and the natural resources of their countries. Read more

	Welcome to the Web pages of the Project of education to the environment of the Indian Ocean Commission (IOC). The project was set up in the year 2003 in the four member States. Focal Points and regional coordinators were designated by the Ministry of education and by the Ministry of the environment respectively, to sensitise teachers and students to the protection and the management of the environment.
